The key players of the Pirates of the Caribbean film series are Johhny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow,  Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightly) and Geoffrey Rush as Captain Hector Barbossa, with Orlando Bloom as Will Turner.

 

The Pirates of the Caribbean stories follow the adventures of Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp), Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) and Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley) on a quest for treasure, the fountain of youth with Joshamee Gibbs (Kevin McNally), and restitution from various curses relating to gold and silver coins, all the while evading the British Royal Navy, and Commodore James Norrington (Jack Davenport), ending with Carina Smyth (daughter of Hector Barbossa, Kaya Scodelario) and Henry Turner (son of Will and Elizabeth, Brenton Thwaites) taking a shine to each other against (Javier Bardem) Armando Salazar, who is seeking revenge.

 

Pirates of the Caribbean was produced by Jerry Bruckheimer with directors Gore Verbinski, Rob Marshall, Joachim Rønning, and Espen Sandberg. The series was primarily written by Ted Elliott and Terry Rossio.

 

ABOUT KAYA

 

Kaya Rose Scodelario-Davis (born 13 March 1992) is a British actress. She first came to prominence co-starring on E4's Skins (2007–2010, 2013), receiving two Golden Nymph nominations for her portrayal of Effy Stonem. She then took on leading roles in a variety of films, such as Wuthering Heights (2011), the Maze Runner series (2014–2018), Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales (2017), Crawl (2019), and Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City (2021). Her other credits include Moon (2009), Now Is Good (2012), The Truth About Emanuel (2013), and Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile (2019). Outside of film, Scodelario has starred in Channel 4's Southcliffe (2013), BBC's The Pale Horse (2020), and the Netflix series Spinning Out (2020).

Early life and education

Scodelario was born on 13 March 1992 in Haywards Heath, West Sussex, England. Her mother, Katia Scodelario, is Italian, and her father, Roger Humphrey, is English. Scodelario has a younger sister, Maya.

Scodelario attended Seaford Head School in Seaford, East Sussex. She began acting at the age of nine and appeared in several stage productions. She also studied at the Arts Educational School in London.

Career

Scodelario's professional acting career began in the early 2000s. She made her television debut in the BBC series "Skins" in 2007. She played the role of Effy Stonem, a troubled teenager who struggles with mental health issues. Scodelario's performance was critically acclaimed, and she won the British Academy Television Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role.

In 2010, Scodelario made her film debut in the Disney film "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides". She played the role of Carina Smyth, a young woman who is searching for her father. The film was a commercial success, and Scodelario's performance was praised by critics.

Scodelario reprised her role as Carina Smyth in the sequel "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" (2017). She also starred in the Maze Runner film series, playing the role of Teresa Agnes in all three films. The films were box office successes, and Scodelario's performance was praised by critics.

Scodelario has also starred in films such as "The Maze Runner" (2014), "Wuthering Heights" (2011), and "The Truth About Emanuel" (2013). She is also set to star in the upcoming film "The King's Daughter" (2023).

Personal life

Scodelario is married to the British actor Benjamin Walker. The couple have one daughter together.
